Whether your geyser has burst or you're replacing one before it does, knowing what happens on the day takes the stress out of it. Here's exactly what a professional geyser replacement looks like.

    How long it takes

A straightforward like-for-like replacement is typically 2 to 4 hours. Upgrading the size, or bringing an old installation up to SANS 10254, can add a little time.

What we do, step by step

    1. Isolate the power and water
    2. Drain and remove the old geyser
    3. Fit the new unit with the required T&P valve, vacuum breakers and drip tray to SANS 10254
    4. Reconnect the plumbing and electrical compliantly
    5. Refill, bleed the air, and test for leaks
    6. Issue your Plumbing COC

    You get a COC

A new geyser must be installed to standard and certified with a Plumbing COC — included with our replacement, and required for insurance and transfer.

    Hot water the same day

Once installed and switched on, the geyser heats within a couple of hours — hot water the same day. For a burst geyser we respond same-day where possible. See geyser installation or book a replacement.
