How long it takes
A straightforward like-for-like replacement is typically 2 to 4 hours. Upgrading the size, or bringing an old installation up to SANS 10254, can add a little time.
What we do, step by step
- Isolate the power and water
- Drain and remove the old geyser
- Fit the new unit with the required T&P valve, vacuum breakers and drip tray to SANS 10254
- Reconnect the plumbing and electrical compliantly
- Refill, bleed the air, and test for leaks
- Issue your Plumbing COC

A new geyser must be installed to standard and certified with a Plumbing COC — included with our replacement, and required for insurance and transfer.
Hot water the same day
Once installed and switched on, the geyser heats within a couple of hours — hot water the same day. For a burst geyser we respond same-day where possible. See geyser installation or book a replacement.
