Terms of Service

These terms apply to any plumbing, electrical, geyser, drain, solar or related work carried out by Apple Plumbing & Electrical (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”), and to your use of this website.

1. Quotes and pricing

• Written quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
• Quotes are based on the information and access provided at the time of inspection. If hidden conditions are uncovered (e.g. concealed leaks, non-compliant wiring) we will pause and re-quote before continuing.
• Call-out fees, where applicable, are disclosed before we attend.
• All prices include VAT where applicable.

2. Bookings, cancellations and access

• Bookings are confirmed by WhatsApp, email or SMS.
• You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area on the agreed date.
• Cancellations within 4 hours of a confirmed booking may incur a call-out fee to cover travel time.

3. Payment

• Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Larger jobs may require a deposit covering materials.
• We accept EFT and card payments. Cash is accepted at our discretion.
• Overdue accounts may attract interest at the prime rate plus 2%.

4. Workmanship guarantee

• We guarantee our workmanship for 3 months from the date of invoice against defects caused by faulty installation.
• Manufacturer warranties on parts (geysers, inverters, batteries, taps, etc.) apply per the manufacturer’s terms.
• The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party tampering, power surges where surge protection was declined, normal wear, or acts beyond our control.

5. Certificates of Compliance (COCs)

• Plumbing and Electrical COCs are issued only for work we have inspected and certified compliant with SANS standards.
• If pre-existing installations are non-compliant, we will quote separately for remedial work. We cannot issue a COC for work we have not made compliant.

6. Liability

• We carry public liability insurance. Claims for direct property damage caused by our negligence are covered subject to insurer terms.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (e.g. loss of income, spoilage of stock).
• Our total liability for any one job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
• Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.

7. Emergency call-outs

Emergency response times are best-effort and depend on traffic, weather and current job load. We do not guarantee a specific arrival time but will keep you updated.

8. Use of this website

• Content on this site is for general information. It is not a substitute for an on-site inspection.
• You may not copy substantial portions of the site for commercial use without our written permission.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be referred to the South African courts of competent jurisdiction in Gauteng.
