A hybrid inverter is the brain of any modern home backup or solar system — it manages grid, solar and battery power and decides what runs where, when. Apple Plumbing & Electrical installs Sunsynk, Deye and Victron hybrid inverters across Northern Johannesburg, either as a battery-backup-only setup or as the heart of a full solar PV system you add to later.

What we do

We size the inverter to your essential loads (or full-house loads), install it on a vibration-isolated wall mount, run AC cabling to the DB board with proper isolation and surge protection, wire up the battery DC string, configure firmware and modes (load-shifting, peak shaving, time-of-use), and set up the monitoring app. Every install includes an essential-loads sub-DB so critical circuits (lights, plugs, Wi-Fi, fridge, alarm, gate motor) run during outages while heavy loads stay on grid.

Indicative installed pricing: 5kW Sunsynk hybrid from R32,000; 8kW Sunsynk hybrid from R45,000; 12kW from R62,000. Excludes battery and panels. Add R45,000–R90,000 for 5–10kWh of lithium storage.
