Yes. Any LP gas installation — a gas hob, gas geyser or gas fireplace — requires a Certificate of Conformity issued by a registered gas practitioner. It is required for property transfer and it is what your insurer will ask for after any gas-related incident. Without it, a claim involving the gas installation is very likely to be declined.
