Any solar PV or battery installation requires an Electrical Certificate of Compliance certifying the work meets SANS 10142, and grid-tied systems in Johannesburg additionally require City Power approval and a registered metering arrangement. Without both, you have an uncertified installation that can invalidate your insurance and will hold up a property transfer when you eventually sell.
