Electric geyser installation
A standard 150L electric geyser supplied and installed starts from R5,500 including the Certificate of Compliance. A 200L unit, a high-pressure conversion, a drip tray or awkward roof access push the price up. The quote should always include the COC — see our geyser installation page.
Solar geyser installation
A SABS-approved solar geyser system costs more upfront (typically R18,000–R35,000 depending on size and direct vs indirect) but cuts your water-heating electricity by 60–70%. Best for households with high hot-water use and good roof orientation.
Heat pump installation

Repair or replace?
If your geyser is under eight years old and the fault is an element, thermostat or valve, a repair (R1,200–R1,800) makes sense. Past ten years, or with a leaking cylinder, replacement is the smarter spend. We will tell you honestly which way to go.
