Wanting cleaner, better-tasting water is easy; deciding where to filter it is the real question. Whole-house and point-of-use systems solve different problems at very different price points. Here's how to choose.

    Whole-house (point-of-entry)

Treats all the water entering your home — every tap, shower and appliance. It protects plumbing and appliances from sediment and scale and improves water everywhere. Best if you have sediment, recurring water-quality issues, or you're on borehole or tank water. It's plumbed into your main supply and sized to your home's flow.

    Point-of-use

Treats water at one outlet — usually the kitchen tap — for drinking and cooking. Far cheaper, and ideal if your main goal is better drinking water rather than protecting the whole home.

    What about hard water?

Standard filters improve taste and remove sediment but don't soften hard water — for scale you need a softener or conditioner. Matching the system to your actual issue matters.

    Get the right system

We assess your water and usage and recommend whole-house, point-of-use, or softening — whatever genuinely fits, without over-spending. See water filtration or book a water assessment.

    Frequently Asked Questions

A whole-house (point-of-entry) filter treats all the water entering your home — every tap, shower and appliance — protecting plumbing from sediment and improving water everywhere. A point-of-use filter treats water at one outlet, usually the kitchen tap, for drinking and cooking. Whole-house protects the home; point-of-use targets drinking water affordably.
